with European standards (EN548 and EN670), Marmoleum
and Artoleum
are manufactured on the basis of a homogeneous mixture of raw
materials. This mixture is applied to the jute carrier in two
layers. The advantages are:
The first layer smoothes the jute
carrier and prevents the natural yarns causing
irregularities in the top layer of the floor covering, thus
ensuring a smooth surface.
Thus produced, the end product is a
more compact floor covering with measurably enhanced
indentation resistance, and increased performance when
subjected to mechanical loads (e.g. castor resistance test).
